ATTRACT LONDON IS EXCELLENT -- 09/03/2007
Attract London, a magazine created by students from PMA’s summer 2007 Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism, has won an Award of Excellence at CiB’s Communic8 Awards 2008.
The judges were astonished to discover the magazine was not a commercial publication, but a one-off produced from nothing in just six weeks as part of PMA's course.
One commented: "You couldn't have guessed that it wasn't a commercial trade magazine."
The magazine and its accompanying website, produced by just 12 people, was aimed at those working in London's attractions and tourism industry.
The award, given in the category for the best external publication of more than 12 pages, was collected by Keith Elliott, chairman of PMA Media Training. The ceremony was held on Thursday (3) at the Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket.
